Our first priority was to identify a quality dog food and this is what we have done.

As dog owners when it comes to feeding our dogs finding the right food for our dogs is a bit of a minefield. So many brands claiming to be the best but unfortunately many falling well short. We get bombarded with all type of well meaning suggestions, grain free, pro this pre that, labelling that is very unhelpful, that we are unsure what we are buying in the end.

So, we decided at Good Dog Training and Daycare to look into this and we would then align ourselves with a manufacturer that produced a high quality product with variations to suit whatever stage of life your dog was at.

Designed by veterinary nutritionists their range of Super Premium Dog Food meets our criteria to the extent that we have transferred our own dogs to their product. With clear labelling we can easily identify what's in the food and with one of our dogs being eight months old, another two years old but very anxious, and our third dog, a ten years old with some mobility issues, we are able to feed them food that matches their needs all from the VetSpec range.

Organic Golden Paste

The principle ingredient in Golden Paste is the spice Turmeric which contains a compound called Curcumin which essentially is its active ingredient.

Curcumin has a wide range of activities as an antioxidant, an anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal. In addition, it is known for its wound healing and anticancer activities.

It can help fight diseases like arthritis, diabetes and gastrointestinal issues.

·         Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory. We often only think of inflammation of the dog’s joints, but chronic, hidden inflammation can be a silent killer.

·         The American Cancer Society claims Curcumin interferes with cancer development, growth and spread. As cancer is a major killer of dogs today, using Golden Paste on a regular basis is a great protector of a dog’s health.

·         Arthritis is very debilitating for older dogs and as Turmeric has such success with inflammation it can greatly ease pain and stiffness.

·         Inflammatory bowel disease is greatly improved by the inclusion of Turmeric in a dog’s diet bringing relief to many gastrointestinal disorders.

·         Golden Paste is an entirely natural product with Turmeric being used on the Indian continent for centuries. It has no serious side affects and can work positively in dogs without being detrimental to their health.

Golden Paste should be used as a daily supplement to a healthy dog’s diet. While it has had considerable success in assisting dogs that are ill, its primary use and success is in the maintenance of a dog’s health.

How to use: Golden Paste is added to a dog's regular food. For a small dog a quarter teaspoon, a medium size dog a half, and a large dog three quarters of a teaspoon. These servings can be increased gradually over time.
